Forrester released its new Wave for Enterprise Social Platforms this week and who tops the list but IBM, Telligent, Jive and NewsGator. Now maybe NewsGator Social Sites surprises you because it is not a standalone platform -- it integrates with and extends the SharePoint platform -- but for those who have SharePoint (and there are many), it's an obvious choice.
Of course SharePoint made the list of enterprise social platforms itself, but as a competitor. It is not best-of-breed, but if you implement it correctly and for the right use case, it will do just fine. To help you do that, here are a few articles:
