Voice AI leader appoints Chief Customer Officer and Chief Marketing Officer to scale what's working—deeper, faster, and for more brands ready to Flip the script on customer experience

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Flip, the enterprise Voice AI platform purpose-built for retail/e-commerce, healthcare, and transportation, today announced the appointment of Amy McDonnell as Chief Customer Officer (CCO) and Lee Nadler as Chief Marketing Officer. On the heels of its $20 million Series A raised in January 2026, the hires are a direct response to surging demand. Flip is committed to what has always driven its growth: delivering proven results for the brands it serves. With this team in place, Flip can replicate and deepen that experience for the thousands of companies ready to bring Flip into their organizations in 2026 and beyond.

Flip's Voice AI platform replaces outdated phone systems with a conversational AI that autonomously resolves customer service calls end-to-end—handling everything from order tracking and returns to appointment scheduling and ride dispatch. Having processed over 300 million calls for 250+ enterprise customers, Flip automates up to 90% of inbound call volume and integrates natively with 80+ platforms including Shopify, Salesforce, Hubspot, and Zendesk. The company's industry-specialized approach—going deep in three distinct industries rather than building a one-size-fits-all solution—has earned the trust of brands including Under Armour, Tory Burch, Care First Urgent Care, and the NFL, among other household names.

"When Sam and I started Flip, we knew that winning in this space would require going deeper than anyone else—into the industries, the workflows, and the moments that matter most to customers,” said Brian Schiff, CEO and Co-founder of Flip. “Amy and Lee make that mission unstoppable. Amy has spent her career inside the industries we serve and knows exactly where friction lives and what it takes to earn enterprise trust. Lee has built category-defining brands from the ground up. Together, they're exactly who you want beside you when you're building something that's never existed before.”

Amy McDonnell brings 25 years of customer experience and business process outsourcing (BPO) leadership to Flip, helping drive the industry’s evolution from traditional call centers to modern, customer-centric models. Her career spans leading CX and BPO organizations including TTEC, [24]7.ai, TaskUs, WNS, and Convergys (now Concentrix), and most recently POSE CX, where she served as Chief Customer Officer. She has partnered with global brands including Target, Amazon, Best Buy, Kohl’s, Gap, Chanel, LVMH, UnitedHealthcare, Walgreens, and The RealReal. McDonnell joins as Flip accelerates its enterprise growth and will scale a high-velocity go-to-market team, expand the company’s footprint in retail and healthcare, and deepen customer relationships to support continued growth.

"I met Brian and Sam four years ago and knew instantly that we were aligned on something important—the industry needed a smarter, deeper approach, and Flip was building it," said Amy McDonnell, CCO of Flip. "Watching that conviction turn into 300 million calls processed and a growing roster of clients made joining an easy call. My mandate is direct: make Flip the foundational layer for every major enterprise customer relationship. We are scaling our go-to-market team with a singular focus on capturing market share and deepening our roots within the world’s most iconic brands. We are building the capacity to not only meet our customers’ needs today, but to anticipate their scale and growth for years to come. At Flip, your growth is our roadmap."

Lee Nadler is a marketing leader with more than three decades of experience building brands that people fall in love with, not just use. He joined DoubleClick as employee #17 and Founding Head of Marketing, helping grow the company from startup to IPO and later a Google acquisition. He spent a decade at BMW Group, orchestrating new product launches and building MINI into one of the top 100 Global Brands by turning customers into a passionate community of Motorers. Inspired by expeditions to Mt. Everest and the determination of the Sherpas he encountered there, Nadler founded Sherpa Marketing in 2002 to help brands and leaders scale their own summits of success. He has been inducted into the American Advertising Hall of Achievement, named by Ad Age as one of the "21 People to Watch in the 21st Century," and has served as Board Chairman of the Advertising Club of New York. Having spent the past six months as Fractional CMO at Flip, he now joins full time to put Voice AI on the map and Flip at the summit.

"When I started working with Flip I saw something rare – founders with a clear vision, a team that believes in what they are building, and clients who are not just satisfied, they are advocates we proudly call Flippin' Legends," said Lee Nadler. "I was at DoubleClick when we transformed digital advertising from an experiment into the way every brand went to market in a few short years. AI is doing the same thing for customer experience right now, at an even faster pace, and Flip is the platform that turns that potential into results for innovative brands. Sherpas don't just point at the summit, they guide you there every step of the way. In a market moving this rapidly, that is exactly what Flip does for every client we serve."

Following its $20 million Series A co-led by Next Coast Ventures and Ridge Ventures, bringing total funding to $31 million, Flip is accelerating its expansion across retail/e-commerce, healthcare, and transportation. The company is growing 3x year over year and has reached eight-figure annual recurring revenue, with customers relying on its platform to manage millions of calls per month during high-stakes periods including peak retail season, flu season, and major live events.
