They just finished up their 2008 User Conference in San Francisco and it looks like they were sitting on a new partnership deal the whole time. SaaS Web Content Management provider, Clickability has announced that they will partner with Twistage, a white label video solution provider, to provide online video capabilities to the Clickability Publishing Platform. If you put their websites side by side, you would read a very similar story. Both Clickability and Twistage design solutions that help their customers focus on what they do best -- run their business. They aim to make the publishing experience as seamless as possible. "Together, we're dedicated to making customers' technology concerns disappear, allowing them to focus on what they do best." said David Wadler, CEO and co-founder of Twistage.
Twistage White Label Video Platform
Twistage is a white label video platform. You can publish and play videos, moderate and monitor and get usage reports. Because it's white label, you can completely brand it to your business - your customers won't know it's a separate provider. The platform supports both user generated and professionally developed video. In addition it performs extensive transcoding that enable you to take any video type and output it into any format and size you require. On the surface, this product is similar to the video capabilities of Reality Digital.Twistage serves some well known clients like PerezHilton.com, FastCompany and Mochila.
Web Publishing with Clickability
This partnership is a smart move for Clickability. They are known for their ability to integrate with partners for various specialties including DoubleClick for Advertising, Omniture for Web Analytics, Vertical Response for Email Marketing and Akamai for Content Delivery. So it only makes sense they would go out to find a partner to help them provide video capabilities to their customers."Video has clearly emerged as an important component of the web experience. Twistage has the flexibility and ease-of-use our clients need," said Rob Lamb, Director of Customer and Partner Programs at Clickability, Inc. What's unclear is whether this new video service will be an extra cost to Clickability's customers or if it will be included in their publishing platform. Considering how vital video has become to the webexperience and social media as a whole, you would expect it would be value add that shouldn't cost extra. With the announcement of a huge new customer, Journal Communications, Inc. (NYSE: JRN), one of the nation's most influential media companies, Clickability needs to ensure their product stays top notch. Online video capabilities are a key component.
