MACH Alliance has announced that Google Cloud and Adyen have become its latest members. The brand name new joiners were announced just ahead of the NRF Big Show where the Alliance will have a sizable presence at a mixed use space called MACH HAUS for networking, press meetings, podcasting and more. Dozens of member companies and Alliance executives will be in attendance.
More on the new joiners:
- Adyen (AMS: ADYEN), the global financial technology platform of choice for leading businesses, provides end-to-end payments capabilities, data-driven insights and financial products in a single global solution for customers like Facebook, Uber, H&M, eBay and Microsoft. Of becoming part of the Alliance, Brian McDonnell, Senior Vice President, Partnerships, said, “Joining the MACH Alliance is a natural move for us, as our success hinges on the strength and flexibility of our digital backbone, of which MACH solutions are foundational. Unified commerce for retailers and other players in the fintech space wouldn’t be possible with legacy technology. We believe the MACH framework is the standard that will change the game for how businesses connect, transact and grow.”
- Google Cloud has joined as an Enabler member. In December 2021, MACH Alliance announced its Enabler membership category, which was created for companies like Google Cloud that enable MACH providers and offer technology solutions that are utilized by MACH organizations. Of joining the group, Google Cloud's Chris Colyer, Head of Retail Industry Partnerships, said, “The MACH Alliance has become a leading advocate for developing new standards for IT architectural excellence. Google Cloud is proud to join this alliance and support our community of partners with the open and cloud-native technology ecosystems they need as they grow in relevance and competence in the market.”
MACH Alliance announced in November that it has exceeded 70 members. As the group continues to expand in numbers, it is holding true to its high certification standards and finding that not only do more companies meet them, but the size, scope and reputations of those companies is adding incredible weight to the movement.
A MACH architecture, which stands for Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native SaaS and Headless, gives companies a deeper level of agility, allowing them to deliver new features to customers at speed. The Alliance was formed in June 2020 to help enterprise organizations navigate the complex modern technology landscape. It aims to guide and show the business advantage of open tech ecosystems that are MACH.
