Michael Klazema is a content systems strategist and the author of The Content Value Chain, a book about how organizations need to redesign content operations for the AI era. He writes about content infrastructure, AI-enabled customer experience, governance, content operations, martech, DAM, CMS, personalization and the operating models required to make content scalable, trustworthy and measurable.
Michael has worked for more than two decades at the intersection of content, marketing technology and digital experience. As Chief Marketing Technologist at EY, he helped organizations bring more direction and structure to front-office and customer experience technology stacks, with a focus on turning organically grown channel-by-channel systems into more rationalized and effective architectures. His current work focuses on how generative AI and AI agents change the role of content inside organizations: from static assets and campaigns to governed knowledge infrastructure that supports customer experience, automation and personalization.
He is also cofounder of the Martech Breakfast Club, an invite-only practitioner community for martech and experience technology leaders. Through his writing, advisory work and community conversations, Michael focuses on the practical systems behind modern content: how knowledge is structured, how governance is embedded into workflows, how teams prevent drift, and how organizations can use AI without scaling inconsistency or operational risk.
