I'm an ex-environmental scientist who appreciated the value of collaboration and knowledge diversity through managing complex projects. The opportunity to do something about this couldn't be missed, and I was fortunate enough to lead global knowledge management projects for engineering disciplines and advise an investment bank on 'how to collaborate'. My creative streak led to me accepting a challenge to 'make us more innovative' for a global engineering firm. Where on earth do you begin with that?
The journey of finding the starting point of innovation and understanding why you need to collaborate before you begin any program is what motivated me to help establish a consulting business, Innosis, where we use experience of what works and, importantly, what doesn't to help others get started.
