Social Business Software Working for Jive
It appears that Jive (news, site) may be making all the right moves with its Social Business Software. Today they announce solid growth for their platform for Q2 09 with an 80% increase in revenues year over year.

Along with strong revenue growth, they have recorded the largest booking quarter to date, having some significant customer wins.

It has been a busy time for Jive Software as social computing solutions have appeared to remain fairly popular during this down period. Here's a look at some of things that have helped Jive's momentum.

Running the Business

Ben Kiker Becomes Chief Marketing Officer

Kiker's last position was as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Interwoven. With over 20 years of marketing and executive leadership, he is now responsible for the global marketing strategy at Jive. In addition he is also responsible encompassing solutions, customer and field marketing and branding and communications and a little bit more.

A New Office in Palo Alto

Wanting a bigger piece of the pie in Silicon Valley, Jive opened an office in Palo Alto that will include a growing team of engineers along with supporting their customers better.

New Partnerships

A partnership with SAP that integrates SAP's onDemand Business Intelligence offering was also set up last month. This integration provides customers of Jive's SBS 3.0 suite, in depth analytics and reporting capabilities without having to deal with issues like data management and infrastructure for a similar in-house solution.

Introduction of Jive Express
