Mark Logic Adds New VP to Support Enterprise, OEM Customers
Mark Logic (news, site) is expanding its executive team with the appointment of David Martin as VP of enterprise and OEM sales.

With 20 years in the software industry his dual specialties of revenue generation and new market penetration gives a pointer as to where Mark Logic’s priorities will be for 2010.

In his previous life Martin was president of legacy modernization company TmaxSoft, a South Korea-based multinational corporation specializing in enterprise software systems.

He arrived at TmaxSoft during the company's expansion into the North American market. There he was responsible for all aspects of the business, including field operations, marketing, alliances and engineering.

He comes to Mark Logic just when it looks like things are starting to get really interesting at the information applications provider.

Software Updates and Analyst Recognition

Recently, IT market intelligence company IDC included Mark Logic on its Innovative Information Access Companies Under $100M to Watch, while earlier on in the year it launched a new product and a new upgrades that will be carrying them on a wave into 2010.

The upgrade came in the shape of Mark Logic Server 4.1 and the new product as Mark Logic Application Services 1.0. The expanded Mark Logic Server 4.1 aims to enable organizations create, consume and deliver secure information services and applications.

MarkLogic Application Services 1.0 added three new legs to the Mark Logic family: MarkLogic Application Builder, Search API and Library Services API. Each of these core services is designed to enable customers to prototype new applications in addition to building production-ready applications.
