Recognizing Partners
Partners play a key role in Microsoft's strategy of world domination (just kidding... I think). And they have a huge partner base from which to recognize the best and the brightest.
On July 13th they will be celebrating their best partners from Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) in Washington DC. Telerik, a provider of .NET tools and web content management, finds itself among this elite group.
Microsoft has announced the Central and Eastern Europe Partners of the Year. The finalists are among over 300 entries submitted by the partners themselves. According to Microsoft, they were chosen " based on their dedicated use of Microsoft technologies to provide solutions for their customers’ needs."
According to IDC, CEE partners generated over US$ 23 billion in revenues. The study says that for every US$ 1 that Microsoft made in the CEE last year, CEE partners made US$ 10.44, a very nice sum and a clear indicator of their importance to Microsoft.
ISV/Software Solutions Partner of the Year
Telerik has picked up the Partner of the Year award for ISV/Software. 2010 has been a busy year so far for the Sofia, Bulgaria based company. It has brought out a number of new solutions and enhanced some existing ones:
- Sitefinity 4.0, their .NET-based Web CMS Reached CTO in late April
- Productivity and Testing Tools were demoed at DevConnections in Las Vegas in early April
- March brought a revamped .NET Developer Toolbox
In addition they also saw their RAD Controls extended within the DotNetNuke from just the commercial editions to the community version as well.
To be selected by Microsoft for this prestigious honor clearly demonstrates Telerik's leadership role in the software market," said Vassil Terziev, Telerik CEO. "We are thrilled that Telerik has been recognized as a Microsoft Partner of the Year for our Sitefinity CMS product, as it underscores our commitment to providing outstanding innovation and value to our customers.”
