David M. Raab is a Principal at Raab Associates, Inc., where he advises consumer and business marketers on marketing processes, technology, and service vendors.  Clients have included major firms in retail, insurance, health care, communications, publishing, consumer goods, and other industries.  Mr. Raab also consults on related issues with industry vendors including service bureaus, software developers and advertising agencies.

Mr. Raab founded the Customer Data Platform Institute in 2016 and served as CEO through 2025.  He named the CDP category in 2013.  He has written hundreds of articles on marketing and technology for industry publications and his personal blog, and has taught and spoken at events around the world. Mr. Raab is author of Marketing Performance Measurement Toolkit (Racom Books, 2009)

Before Raab Associates, Mr. Raab held corporate positions in the publishing and continuity industries.  He holds a bachelor's degree from Columbia University and MBA from the Harvard Business School.   He currently splits his time between the beach in Connecticut and Porto Venere, Italy.
