Contentstack Introduces Enhanced Personalization Features for Marketers

Contentstack, which offers a headless content management system and the composable digital experience software, has announced a solution to tackle what it calls the perennial challenges of personalization for digital marketers. This announcement, which will be made today during ContentCon in Austin, Texas, the company’s annual customer conference, includes premium features integrated within the headless CMS, supported by ContentStack’s “no-fail promise” customer support services.

Addressing the Brand Relevancy Crisis

Contentstack CEO Neha Sampat highlighted in a press conference before the news the pressing issue of the "brand relevancy crisis." Sampat painted a picture of the current digital landscape where brands struggle to stand out amidst overwhelming noise and data saturation. She emphasized the need for hyper-personalized digital experiences as the new competitive frontier for brands.

“Brands are experiencing a relevancy crisis. Our customers tell us they fear digital sameness and feel overrun by tech and the pace of change,” Sampat said in a statement. “We know that personalized digital experiences are the solution; they’re also significantly hard to achieve. Today’s announcement makes personalization at scale simple and real — for the first time ever. No other solution on the market is as comprehensive and no other company invests as much in customer success.”

As a native capability of the headless CMS, Personalize provides an authoring experience that company officials claim empower marketers with control over personalization efforts.

Key features include:

  • A/B/n Testing: Allows marketers to experiment with content variations to understand audience preferences and drive better results.
  • Segmentation: Utilizes AI to create tailored experiences across numerous audience segments, enabling permutations of targeted content.

Contentstack Brand Kit

Leveraging AI, this tool enhances content creation by incorporating brand-specific knowledge and tone, ensuring consistency across all digital channels.

Key features include:

  • Knowledge Vault: A repository of brand assets that the AI uses to supplement its knowledge, ensuring content aligns with the brand’s unique characteristics.
  • Voice Profiles: Customizable rules that shape the AI-generated content’s tone, style, and language, providing flexibility based on audience, intent or channel.

Automation Enhancements

Building on its automate product, Contentstack has added connectors to major AI models, enabling powerful automation capabilities. This allows for the creation of personalized content at scale, reducing the manual effort required. 

Expanded Academy and AI Accelerator

Contentstack has also announced an expansion of its Academy and a new AI Accelerator program, aimed at helping customers achieve success with AI-driven personalization quickly and effectively. This program includes access to comprehensive tools and resources, workshops and courses designed to accelerate AI adoption.

Personalized Experiences Within Headless CMS

Conor Egan, VP of product for Contentstack, delved into the intricacies of personalization at scale. Egan identified key challenges such as fractured authoring experiences, increased content creation demands and the need for operationalization and automation.

“We’ve been developing this personalization solution behind the scenes in concert with customers — listening to their biggest challenges and building ways to overcome them,” added Egan. “Now, marketers can create personalized content for a near infinite number of audiences in the same time it previously took to create for one. And it all lives inside the headless CMS.”

As Contentstack gears up for ContentCon today, the focus on personalization, AI-driven content creation and automation positions the company as navigating the brand relevancy crisis. Officials promise the innovations will empower brands to connect with consumers more meaningfully, driving engagement and differentiation in an increasingly crowded digital landscape.

Personalization certainly is no walk in the park, however. Only 24% of CX practitioners rate their personalization efforts as highly personalized, almost identically mirroring previous research that found only 26% of consumers rate their last company interaction as highly personalized.
