Belgium-based Emagine updates their flagship Web Content Management (Web CMS) product, emagiC. Release 3.0 focuses on ease of use, rapid adoption, and wizard-driven management.Emagine describes emagiC as "an Enterprise Content Management system used to build websites, intranets, extranets and portal sites". The term "enterprise" seems a touch over used these days, as it overlaps, yet shares little with the CM holy grail also known as Enterprise Content Management (ECM). Nevertheless, Emagine is a mature European Web CMS vendor and the emagiC offering, having recently undergone a conversion from ASP to ASP.NET, is a product worth considering. Version 3.0 marks a feature rounding point where the .NET version achieves and perhaps surpasses the functional stats of the older ASP architecture. The new feature list stands on its own two feet. And one cannot help but commend the effort Emagine has put into the UI design. Version 3.0 additionally touts a new forms generation module, which combined with their flexible .NET API, empowers business users while still keeping the dev team happy. Overall its a solid release from Emagine and one that should catch the eye of anyone current shopping for .NET Web CMS products. More information: http://www.emagiccms.com
