New Zealand-based SilverStripe (news, site) announces more employees, more partners and most importantly, more customers as it continues its rise up the web content management ladder.

Turning Silver into Gold

Having already expanded across the globe via its partners, SilverStripe keeps the momentum growing with news that it has added seven new staff, taking its total headcount to over 30 and has enjoyed 200,000 downloads of its open-source platform.

SilverStripe offers business analysis, design and e-commerce services along with website and web application development for a range of customers with integration, hosting and support and much more. You can find your closest partner on this page. SilverStripe aims to apply Agile methods to its solutions for quick results and to focus on the users and processes.

On the SilverStripe site, there is an online demo (available in several languages including Chinese) so you can take a look at SilverStripe's CMS for yourself. The interface is clean and businesslike with two sets of tabs to handle most of the CMS functions and a sidebar for navigation, versioning and history. We can see why the company is making an impression on the market.

What's Coming Up for SilverStripe?

For current or prospective users, the company also has a new book due out next month on Amazon to help guide users through the Web CMS. With plans to double its number of partners in the short term, expect to see a lot more from SilverStripe.

The company itself sees clients migrating from more established systems in the hunt for easier to use interfaces and better structured systems.

As for the SilverStripe CMS, expect full MS SQL server support in the near future as well a move from Javascript to jQuery to help improve customization.
