Joining the throng of applications riding the wave alongside the SharePoint and Office 2010 Microsoft updates comes Hyland's (news, site) ECM and OnBase modules.

Doing The SharePoint Shuffle

Joining ECM rival KnowledgeLake in leaping aboard the SharePoint express, Hyland and its range of OnBase enterprise content platform modules has been announced as compatible with Microsoft's updated Office and SharePoint products.

Hyland's OnBase integrates with Office-based systems to help users achieve time and money savings by eliminating annoying, time-draining manual tasks, streamlining work processes, integrating with third-party applications and capturing paper-based information.

More SharePoint Integration To Come

OnBase is offered as a series of modules, so companies only buy to support the tasks they need help with such as email integration or enterprise resource planning. The most recent version of OnBase focused on mobile and remote workers.

The current announcement confirms Hyland's support for SharePoint 2010. However, new features that make use of new SharePoint technologies, such as the new SilverLight, Document Sets or Content Type features, will be announced for OnBase 10.0, which is due out late summer or early fall.

Hyland has been working with Microsoft for some 20 years and is a Gold Certified Partner and a Managed ISV Partner.
