North Plains DAM Expands into Europe

Digital asset management is coming to Europe. North Plains Systems, provider of digital asset management (DAM) and video asset management (VAM) software solutions, plans to expand its global channel of strategic partners over the coming months, including a European base of technology partners.

The expansion comes as a result of the increased demand of its TeleScope digital asset management platform, known for enabling securing access, management and distribution of all digital and rich media across an entire organization.

The Market For DAM

The demand for digital asset management as a whole, is expected to triple by 2013, according to a new forecast by ABI Research. Such growth can be attributed to the "recent proliferation of digital media content, especially video, and the rise of portable devices for viewing."

As broadband data services become more globally available, the need for systems that can store and deliver content is inevitable.

European Growth Through Partnership

Strategic vendor partnerships will be key to helping North Plains reach out to European customers. Through an integrated reseller network made up of "best-in-class" technology partners, as well as brand-name systems integrators and a top-tier portfolio of national and regional technology resellers, North Plains plans to build up an efficient support system that will hopefully enhance their presence.

The European expansion comes on the coat tails of another North Plains initiative that increases focus in the United Kingdom. The UK office will act as a hub for all regional operations and will staff employees in the areas of sales, support and professional services.

Clearly, North Plains is demonstrating an expertise in delivering industry-leading digital asset management software solutions in an attempt to reshape the way companies manage, collaborate and distribute their digital assets globally.
