E-discovery software provider kCura today hired Lisa Arthur as Chief Marketing Officer.
Arthur joins the Chicago-based provider after five years as the Chief Marketing Officer of Teradata Applications, the big data analytics and marketing applications provider.
At Teradata, she led strategy, positioning, global brand awareness, thought leadership, acquisition and operational integration and demand generation for the Marketing Applications division. Arthur also held executive marketing roles at Aprimo, Akamai Technologies and Oracle.
Officials at kCura said the company is preparing to launch RelativityOne, a new cloud-based offering, in early 2017. It's the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) version of Relativity, the company's existing e-discovery platform, which is used by more than 11,000 organizations, according to kCura officials.
In April kCura appointed Jason Ream, formerly of SolarWinds, as CFO. Iconiq Capital invested $125 million into kCura last year.
“kCura truly puts their customers at the center of their business, evident by their impressive and enthusiastic user community who are driving and inspiring change in discovery and litigation processes," Arthur said in a statement.
The company is holding its annual conference, Relativity Fest, for legal technology professionals Oct. 9-11 in Chicago.
SpringCM Releases G|1 Docs
SpringCM, a document and sales contract management solution provider, has announced a cloud document management solution for Salesforce customers designed to manage files across teams and organizations.
The platform, G|1 Docs, combines a centralized, searchable repository with document and content management functionality, according to company officials.
- Document generation: Merge data from Salesforce to build documents
- Document management: Tagging and searching functions to help locate the right documents
- Document workflow: Automate workflows using predefined data
“By bringing everything together with our native integration to Salesforce, organizations can go further, connecting Salesforce Einstein insights with SpringCM’s Intelligent Platform utilizing machine learning and natural language processing to connect the dots in business processes for even more powerful results," Antonis Papatsaras, Chief Technology Officer of Chicago-based SpringCM, said in a statement.
Aptos Acquires BT Expedite
Retail technology solutions provider Aptos has acquired BT Expedite, which resells Aptos solutions in Europe.
Aptos officials said the acquisition allows the company to establish a market presence in Europe including a direct relationship with BT Expedite’s customers, which includes nearly 100 retailers with operations in 13 countries.
BT Expedite also sold CRM and audit and operations management solutions for Aptos.
“The acquisition also presents a significant opportunity to introduce the complete Aptos Singular Commerce platform to European retailers, including the latest versions of Aptos solutions such as Merchandising, Analytics and Enterprise Order Management," Ian Rawlins, Aptos strategy leader, said in a statement.
Aptos has also hired Steve Towe as its European managing director. Towe most recently served as managing director for fleet management company Masternaut. Prior roles included leadership positions at Cybit, TrafficMaster and WHSmith.
Jadu Hires PayPal Exec
Web experience management provider Jadu has hired David Evans as vice president of global channel. Evans previously served as partner manager for PayPal, where he was responsible for developing channel partners.
Jadu, based in Leicester, UK, offers the Continuum digital customer service platform which includes real-time web content management, e-forms and case management tools.
“We’re really excited about accelerating our international growth and our global partnerships so other digital agencies, professional services consultants and technology partners can benefit from Jadu Continuum platform and add value to their customers," Suraj Kika, Jadu CEO, said in a statement.
Evans will be based in New Zealand and will also run the Australian subsidiary of the Jadu Group. He will take over for General Manager James Robinson, who will step down in December to pursue a start-up outside of the software industry.
LemonStand Builds CMS
LemonStand, a Vancouver-based e-commerce software platform for web designers, agencies and brands, has released a web content management system (Web CMS) for online retailers.
It combines content and commerce into one platform, officials said.
Its features include:
- Publishing tools for store operators to create and manage different types of content
- Publishing tools for multiple content types including web pages, blog posts and announcements
- WYSIWYG editor
- Content publishing workflow and simple bulk editing
"Publishing high-quality content is fundamental to engaging with customers through social media channels, being findable and ranking well on organic search," Danny Halarewich, co-founder and CEO of LemonStand, wrote in a blog post. "It also directly contributes to building a brand that demonstrates helpfulness and personality."
Lithium Supports Twitter Expanded Lengths
San Francisco-based Lithium Technologies has announced Lithium Reach and Lithium Response will support Twitter’s expanded Tweet lengths. Brands can leverage the extra text without photos, videos, GIF links and quoted Tweets counting toward the 140-character limit.
Other recent Lithium integrations include support for Twitter’s ability to move public conversations to private through direct message and support for Twitter’s new customer feedback feature that allows brands to collect Net Promoter Scores (NPS) and Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) data.
Volpe Lands at Cybereason
Boston-based Cybereason has hired former Hubspot CMO Mike Volpe.
Cybereason produces a real-time detection and response platform. Volpe will serve as its CMO, the same position he held at marketing automation provider HubSpot.
“I am excited to join Cybereason and help build another pillar technology company, and create thousands of jobs and additional startups," Volpe said in a statement. "The company’s advanced threat hunting platform is loved by customers and praised by the industry, making Cybereason the hottest cybersecurity company in Boston and one of the fastest growing in the world."
Volpe was the fifth employee at HubSpot. In 2015, he landed at the center of a controversy related to Dan Lyons' tell all book about HubSpot. HubSpot said Volpe violated the company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics in connection with attempts to procure a draft manuscript of a book. No criminal charges were filed in the case.
Folloze Raises $7.3 Million
Palo Alto-based Folloze, an Account-Based Marketing (ABM) sales platform, has announced a $7.3 million funding round. Company officials said it will grow its sales, marketing and customer success teams with the money. The investment was co-led by Canvas Ventures and NEA, the lead investor in the seed round, with participation by Cervin Ventures and others.
Folloze's platform is designed for marketers to enable salespeople to use content campaigns, content automation, account analytics and other marketing techniques from within their sales tools.
“Sales organizations typically don’t trust the value of marketing generated leads," Gary Little, partner at Canvas Ventures, said in a statement. "In contrast, companies adopting Account-Based Marketing are using Folloze to create highly personalized sales campaigns for account executives tasked with penetrating named major accounts.”
Folloze was founded in 2013.
