April 30, 2026 — Today, Typeface, the marketing orchestration engine for the world's leading enterprises, debuted its AEO Analyzer, which scores your content and tells you exactly what to fix to improve AI answer engine visibility.
When a buyer asks ChatGPT or Perplexity a question, the answer they get isn't a list of links. They get synthesized answers cited from sources. Getting sourced requires your content to meet a specific set of structural and semantic criteria that most SEO tools don't evaluate.
As a result, most marketers have no systematic way to know:
- Whether their content is structured in a way that answer engines can parse and cite
- Which specific dimensions are falling short: heading hierarchy, Q&A formatting, meta tags, or semantic clarity
- Where to prioritize fixes across a content library that might span hundreds of pages
How the AEO Analyzer works
The AEO Analyzer scores your content and tells you exactly what to fix. Here’s how:
- Structured scoring across specific dimensions: The Analyzer scores your content based on: content structure (headings, Q&A formatting, meta tags) and semantic clarity. Each dimension is scored independently, so you get a clear breakdown of your AEO performance.
- Targeted recommendations: Alongside each dimension score, the AEO Analyzer surfaces specific, actionable recommendations for that content element. For example, it might recommend AEO-specific metadata improvements, specific citations or links to add (such as product pages), and sections to rewrite as BLUF-style, self-contained sentences that an AI engine can quote them directly without losing context
Where AEO fits in your content workflow
Typeface offers a few ways to use AEO directly in your content workflow:
- Audit content before publishing. Run an AEO evaluation on any blog, press release, webpage, or document you've just created in Typeface. Catch structural and semantic gaps before it goes live.
- Refresh existing content. Already have published content? Paste any external URL and request an AEO evaluation. The tool scrapes the page and runs it through the full rubric for content refresh recommendations.
- Evaluate your site at scale: For teams managing large content libraries, Custom Agents allow you to upload a sitemap CSV and run AEO evaluations across hundreds of pages at once. You’ll get per-page suggestions, so you can prioritize what to fix.
Getting started
The AEO Analyzer is available in three places inside Typeface:
- Explain panel: Open any blog, press release, webpage, or document and navigate to the Explain panel to see your AEO dashboard.
- Chat: Type a prompt like "Evaluate this content for AEO performance" and attach your generated content, or paste an external URL to evaluate pages outside Typeface. For bulk sitemap evaluations, call your Custom Agent and attach a CSV.
- Agent Studio: For bulk sitemap evaluations, build a Custom Agent in Agent Studio, then add the AEO Analyzer as a tool to run AEO evaluations across your full site.
The AEO Analyzer is available now to all Enterprise plan users. Get a demo to see our product team walk through Typeface's full Web and AEO solution in action.
