BrowserMedia announced today the official release of BrowserCMS 2.0, the latest version of their Web Content Management System (CMS). The BrowserCMS 2.0 product is targeted for corporate, government, and association clients.Improvements in version 2.0 include a completely redesigned user interface, featuring a rich Internet application allowing "drag and drop" control over the website architecture. The new version is now in production for several BrowserCMS clients, including Leadership Washington, The American Prospect, and the Associated General Contractors of America. "BrowserCMS Version 2.0 marks a significant step forward in the evolution of the product," said Kerry Gunther, President of BrowserMedia. "We kept the core technology in place, but completely redesigned the user interface to be much more efficient and easy to use. The feedback from clients has been tremendous." BrowserCMS 2.0 is one of the more affordable CMS in its class. Said BrowserMedia CTO Patrick Peak, "By engineering the product using J2EE and Open Source Java, we are able to deliver improved performance, security, and reliability versus script based systems." BrowserCMS is available under both corporate and non-profit licenses. BrowserMedia is an interactive web design company based in Maryland, USA.
