SDL CEO Adolfo Hernandez said fragmented, siloed processes are significant barriers to digital excellence.

In an interview at CMSWire's second annual DX Summit in Chicago, Hernandez said, "Today there is a group working on content sourcing. There is another group working on formatting. There's another group working on translations. But the person who's trying to create the overall experience doesn't see everything together until the very last minute."

Hernandez took the top executive job at SDL in March, succeeding Mark Lancaster, the founder of the Maidenhead, England language technology and services provider.
