The public beta was released only days ago, but Australian CMS vendor Siteflex has shown us just how fast the Google Data Analytics API can be integrated into a web content management system.

Integration with Mailflex Module

The Google Data Analytics API has been integrated into both Siteflex itself and its Mailflex Module. The Mailflex Module is an email broadcast application that send both targeted email and newsletters.

With the integration of the Google API, campaign statistics are now available directly in the Mailflex dashboard:

Types of Analytic Data Shown

The integration is based on the email campaign Send Date. A number of different analytic statistics are displayed in the dashboard to help you understand quicker how well your campaign is doing:

  • Total visits from clickthroughs
  • Time spent on each landing page
  • Total page view for each landing page
  • Campaigns are correlated to Goal Conversions
  • Granular Analytics such as links and images clicked

 Just Another Google App Integration

A SaaS-based web content management system, the Google Analytics API isn't the first Google App that has been integrated with Siteflex. Others include:

  • Google Talk
  • Google Webmaster Tools
  • Google AdSense
  • Google Maps
  • YouTube
  • and of course Google Analytics itself.
