The deal embeds Aampe's per-user decisioning architecture into MoEngage's engagement platform, signaling a shift toward 1:1 agentic marketing.

The Gist

  • Acquisition announcement. MoEngage acquired Aampe to expand agentic decisioning.

  • AI-driven personalization. Aampe deploys an individual AI agent for each end-user.

  • Marketer impact. Brands gain scalable 1:1 personalization with less manual workflow.

MoEngage on June 24 announced its acquisition of Aampe, an agentic AI infrastructure company that deploys a dedicated autonomous AI agent for every individual end-user. The deal integrates Aampe's per-user decisioning architecture into MoEngage's customer engagement platform.

Aampe's founding team — Paul Meinshausen, Schaun Wheeler and Sami Abboud — will join MoEngage to lead a new Agentic Decisioning group. According to MoEngage, Aampe has deployed millions of individual agents across its customers, processing more than 200 billion decisions per week.

Existing Aampe customers will gain access to MoEngage's engineering, data science and support resources, the company said. MoEngage described the combined offering as an "Agentic Customer Engagement Platform."

Recent MoEngage News

MoEngage closed a stretch of growth anchored by a two-tranche $280 million Series F. The first $100 million, led by Goldman Sachs Alternatives with A91 Partners, closed in November 2025 to scale its Merlin AI suite and expand go-to-market teams in North America — now its largest revenue region — along with EMEA, SEA and ANZ.

A second $180 million tranche led by ChrysCapital and Dragon Funds followed in December 2025, completing an employee and investor liquidity event. The platform now supports digital experiences for more than 2 billion people monthly across 75 countries, with SoundCloud's migration of 120 million users in 12 weeks cited as a marquee deployment.

On the product side, MoEngage's Merlin AI suite — including Offer Decisioning and Campaign Decisioning Agents — anchors its AI push across email, mobile push, in-app and web channels. The company launched Merlin AI Custom Agents in June 2026, adding marketer-defined guardrails, full activity-log visibility and an open Model Context Protocol server with connectivity to external systems including Claude and ChatGPT.

Agentic AI & 1:1 Engagement

Agentic AI is moving enterprises from rules-based automation to systems that perceive, reason and act autonomously across the full customer journey.

From Reactive to Predictive

Unlike traditional chatbots or copilots, agentic platforms observe journeys in real time, adapt strategies dynamically and address issues before they escalate. These systems plan and act across multiple tools with minimal human guidance.

In practice, an autonomous agent draws on support tickets, product usage, purchase history and system status, then executes multi-step responses without requiring customers to re-explain context at each handoff.

Orchestration Across the Journey

Agentic systems coordinate across sales, service and marketing touchpoints, delivering context-aware experiences without constant human oversight. This shifts digital experience platforms beyond static automation toward dynamic orchestration.

For chief customer officers, the governance stakes are high. As AI agents take on autonomous decisions, CCO accountability shifts from task management to strategy, oversight and human-AI collaboration.
